Before I was even born Sears Roebuck came out with the Merry Mushroom ceramic collector set of the most adorable pieces of pottery. They first came out in 1970 and sold them until about 1987. Back then they sold their specialty items in a mail order catalog. There was no internet! You found out about their new products in the mail. Wow, can we even remember a time that long ago? Ha! There were over 250 pieces to this matching set. But, today, the canisters seem to be the most coveted. I see them everywhere now. Used in the backgrounds of cottagecore photos on social media, homemade cakes presented on top of these decorated dishes, and even little silverware display racks hanging on friend's kitchen walls. This is a set that I think will be beloved off and on forever. 

These sterling silver Merry Mushroom canister pieces are made from scratch, each one. They are not cast. I created them by cutting out multiple layers of silver by hand, carve them, fuse them together, add tiny spots with tweezers, etch mushroom gills, and create you a tiny piece of history. The pendant will come on 18 inch long sterling silver rope chain necklace.
